Practical Project
- Participants will work on a simple building or structural system where the effects of wind and, where relevant, seismic loads are evaluated. They will identify applicable standards, define basic load assumptions based on building geometry and location, and assess the structural system’s ability to resist lateral loads. The project will include a clear explanation of stability strategies and documentation of how design principles and standards are applied. The focus is on understanding load behavior and structural response, not advanced calculations.
